Finger Print activity

Today, I tried some craft activities with my toddler. He has been in the phase of drawing with crayons and color pencils. But I wanted him to have some hands on experience and decided to do the Finger print activity with the available materials. This helped him to play with some colours plus do some interesting stuff involving hand co-ordination.

I used a normal paper to make the finger prints with some water colours. I let the hand prints dry and then cut them out to paste it in a chart board like paper. Thats it, you can hang them on a wall or just let it sit on the TV stand or even make it on a book.

This was so much fun. Some benefits of this -
- Children learn about the different colours to use and how it complements one another
- It shows how a single base can be used to make different types of creations (like flowers or butterflies using the same print)
- Enhances their creativity to try different patterns
- good bonding
